Designing Remotely Kyōgen

The Remotely Kyōgen: Comedy Under the (Virtual) Stars program would not have been made possible without the creativity, vision, and hard work of our dedicated scenic and costume designers.

Scenic Design

Scenic designer, Laura Nigon-Holmgren, shares some of her process after being challenged with the responsibility of creating the aesthetic for a virtual production.

Costume Design

The wide array of plays in the Remotely Kyōgen program required not one, not two, but three costume designers to divide and conquer the massive task that was costuming five different pieces over the course of three months.

Check out our costume design page to see what Maile, Hannah, and Isabella have to say about the process!
